after what we considered a great success with their first litter (pictured below) we decided to give the pair another try in search of another high drive, stable, conformationally correct, prey driven, tenaious pup to add to our program
we were blessed with tiger as the perfect mother of 3 beautiful females and two very handsome males
DAY THREE
|
Tiger's Lily Stomper ALMOST A CLONE COLOR-WISE OF HER DAM TIGER BUT A RICHER CHOCOLATE COLOR. SO FAR IS LIKE HER STRUCTURE, SHE HAS A NICE SQUARE BODY WITH A BIG ROUND HEAD. DEFINITELY GETS ALOT OF ATTENTION FROM VISITORS.
|
Picasso WE CALL HER PICASSO AS SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE GOT INTO A FIGHT WITH A PAINT BRUSH. I JUST LOVE HER SPORADIC MARKINGS, SO UNIQUE, SO CUTE. I WOULD GUESS HER TO BE THE MOST STANDARD OF THE BUNCH. ITS STILL SO HARD TO TELL.
|
|
Double Take 'Deuce' SO FAR I THINK SHE IS GOING TO BE A LARGEST GIRL. I REALLY LIKE THE HEAD SHAPE ON THIS ONE. SHE HAS A NICE WIDE MUZZLE ON HER AND THAT ICON POINT AT THE TOP OF HER HEAD. SHE ALSO HAS A DARK BROWN BRINDLE MARKING ON HER TAIL, AS THEY ALL DO.
|
Ace in the Hole AT THIS AGE THE MALES ARE ALMOST IDENTICAL WITH MIRROR IMAGE MARKINGS. THIS MALE IS SLIGHTLY LIGHTER IN COLOR. I AM VERY PLEASED SO FAR WITH BOTH OF THE MALES AND HOPE I GET WHAT I WAS WISHING FOR
|
|
Sugar's Eye Buster THIS IS THE DARKER COLORED MALE. AGAIN VERY HANDSOME THEY ARE AND VERY HAPPY WE ARE.
|
HERE IS A COMPARISON OF THE TWO MALES. AS YOU CAN SEE THEY ARE ALMOST (MIRRORED) IDENTIAL CLONES
|
WEEK THREE
So far we are very happy with this litter. Things have changed so much in the past three weeks. Of course all of the pups are walking and playing with one another. We have started the imprinting process on the pups and they are showing great signs of high prey drive, which we would expect no less from this breeding.
Tiger's Lily Stomper
She really is a gorgeous pup. Very square body and nice big head on her. Definitely a looker. She is showing great signs of food drive as well as showing the earliest signs of a good prey drive. She seems to have a nice relaxed temperament so far which is one of my favorite things that I like in Icon,Sugar and Tiger. That nice on/off temperament which will hopefully make her a great house pet mixed with a great working prospect.
Here she is being attacked by male pup one. I just love the action shot on this one with her mouth all twisted in her attempts to bite him back.
Picasso
This is the girly we are calling picasso. Although its very hard to tell in pictures her markings are just gorgeous. Not only how the markings are layed out but the colors in the brindle pattern is just very striking. Again we think she will be the most standard of the dogs. She is also showing good prey drive at this age.
Double Take 'Deuce'
This I would have to say is so far my pick of the litter. Her marking are VERY unusual which will make her stand out that much more as she grows. Thats not even close to what I love about her. She is one of the first pups to do just about everything. She is fiesty and definitely showing great signs of high prey by already chasing and biting in prey (bottom left picture). She also just so happens to look like icon at a similar age and that alone make me love her so much. If she follows in his footsteps then this breeding was a success in our opinion. A female Icon what more could we ask for?
Ace in the Hole
This male is also looking very promising. Along with his sister above he is also the first to do just about everything. He is a very fiesty and confident little fella showing great signs of a working temperament. He also has a nice wide muzzle and icon-like head, meaning a boxy head with a pronounced stop.
here let me kiss ya big fella........................woooooof that was nice....................now howz about a taste!!!
Sugar's Eye Buster
If ya like the look of our All About the Benjamin (his full brother) than your gonna like this fella. He's got the exact same look as benny did and is showing signs of being a big ol' goof ball like his big brother. Notice all the wrinkles he has yet to grow into with the working length muzzle backed by a very pronounced stop.
I expect him to be a large standard dog. If he is anything like ben he will have a nice leg to size ratio which gives him that nice athletic and agile body on a large frame. If his temperament follows ben expect a very tenacious and prey driven dog.
WEEK FOUR
Just some quick shots of the pups, we will add more of the rest of the litter later this week. So far all pups are showing nice drives and confidence. Those that were already advanced have advanced even more so and we are delighted with how they are turning out.
Ace in the Hole
what a cutie pie he is, i just love this fella.
his looks remind me of double trouble. the female pup from the jamma x icon litter. He is just about the happiest guy.
talk about a natural, he sure reminds me of icon (his full brother) in many many ways
lets play some tug
oh here comes the counter-- a tug with a good head shake
oh you win, look how happy he is with himself. reminds me of my ikey boy.
Double Take 'Deuce'
OK i have to admit this is my favorite puppy. I just love everything about her. Her looks, her drives, her zest for life, her amazing similarity to Icon. This girl is what this repeat breeding was design for and it is exactly what we got. We consider ourselves very lucky to have been able to produce exactly what we wanted. She will be going to a schuzhund home and we expect big things from her.
ABOVE 2 PICTURES ARE ICON PICTURED AT 6 WEEKS.
HE HAD A FEW MORE WRINKLES THAN SHE DOES LOL.
OTHERWISE SAME POINT/HEAD SHAPE, MUZZLE, AND EYES NOT TO MENTION ATTITUDE.
again another really happy puppy. i swear these pups are smiling
love these action shots lol. her raspberry
playing with her octupus, man this girl has a bite and some drive. Ive had to pry her off things already and it aint easy as she has a strong grip for just a little tyke.
ending with the action shot. a good head shake, notice her flying ears?
WEEK FIVE
As promised the following pictures are of the rest of this litter. Boy pups are really keeping us busy now that they can run and taking pictures is harder than ever lol. We are happy to see some of the slower pups really picking up in drive. This weekend all pups were taken out for socialization and temperament evaluations. We were very happy to see ALL the pups to be very outgoing and definitely not shy. There were a couple that were not interested in stick hits lol but the majority was indifferent. At this point we have two pups left. Both of which we consider the extremes for this litter. One female on the bullier side (aka. pretty girl) and one of the more standard side (aka. picasso). Picasso is showing some really nice drives and pretty girl is probably the mellowest of the litter.
Tiger's Lily Stomper
As you can tell by her nick-name we think this girl is just absolutely gorgeous. She knows it too as she comes when we call her pretty girl lol. She is still available to the right home. We feel she would be best suited for someone looking for a competition type dog such as the show ring or working competitions such as iron dog and WABA events. She will also make a lovely family member as she can be very sweet and falls into the pack nicely. The first comment we get from those that have met her is "look at that noggin", yes she is a big headed girl. We have yet to have someone tell us she is not the prettiest puppy (ever lol).
Above at 4 weeks, below at 5
gettin some tail....yummmers!!!!

Picasso Picasso has come a long way and she is also still available. She is the most standard of all the pups. We think she has just about the cutest markings we've seen. She has a nice working muzzle and the legs of an athlete. She would be greatly suited for a working home in the deep south. Her drives have picked up immensly. She is impressing me more and more everyday. She also shows no fear when it comes to other dogs. Sugar and Icon have both knocked her around to no end and she just gets back up brushes herself off and goes in for more lol. I would really like to see her go to a working home.
Above at 4 weeks taking a beating from her poppa as 'mamma' comes to the rescue. She just kept coming back for more, I think she actually liked it.
Above picasso (right) compared to a typical pup from this litter (big guy) |
|
Sugar's Eye Buster Big Guy is now spoken for and we think he is going to a fabulous home. For those of you in the NE look for Big Guy in the future at some shows. We expect this big fella to do well as a family member and as an american bulldog. He is just an all around nice puppy and he sure does like the peoples and his ball. We are excited that he will be going to a home that has never had the pleasure of owning an american bulldog. Hmmm can we say good-bye to rottweilers forever and hello to bulldogs????? lol.
Playing around with his little sister (pretty girl) |
