Greta of KiWS

(KIWS' Bulldog Icon x KIWS' Bad Mamma Jamma)

litter 'd'

whelped 9-22-03

We are still trying to decide which puppy will remain here to take Jamma's place and become Che's new competition dog. Very big shoes to fill and so far we fell we could not go wrong with either female. Both pups are amazingly similar as one would expect with the breeding.

A few nights ago, we took both pups from this litter to a motorcycle festival to socialize and to see if we could find any weaknesses in temperament in order to help us make a decision. To our excitement both pups pranced around like they owned the place. Between the Harleys, generators, live rock band, flashing christmas lights, santa clauses, other dogs, crowds of people almost stepping on them and tons of fantastic folks running up and loving them the pups really knocked our socks off. For such a young age and with such little previous socialization these gals did beyond our expectations running up to every person that slowed down to be petted and loved. The attitude we love to see, tail and ears up, show gait and a big fat SMILE these gals were dripping in. We really could not be more excited about this breeding pair and these two females. Both pups are also kicking dirt after marking their territory and have been for some time. We expect lots of attitude out of these gals. As we said, the pup we choose has some big shoes to fill and we so no problem with that in either puppy.

Below you will see pictures of this gal on a new tug we bought. This is her second time on a tug. She was full of drive and determination and carried with a full mouth and tons of pride every time, just like her littermate sister.

UPDATE AT 6 MONTHS

HOLEY MOLEY what can we say about Greta other than we sure hope we made the right decision in keeping Hottie. Wow this little pup has been driving her owners crazy. I keep getting calls asking me when I think she will stop attacking their pant legs and trying to take them down lol. At six months she hasnt let up yet. At 3 month Greta was catching and killing varmit on her farm in Iowa. By 4 months she was catching russian boars by the jowels. Man what a fantastic animal. Plans for Greta include a BST at minimum. We are very excited about this girls looks and drive.

UPDATE AT 10 MONTHS

Tracy,

The little gal is hopefully about done with her first heat cycle. She really put the muscle on during her heat cycle it seems. She seems to be coming on a little with her role as guardian of the house. ill try and make video of her doing some tug work or maybe some beginning bite work. Joan has finally gave me the go ahead to put her on the mature boar we have. It has been over 6 to 8 weeks since we have done it. She was kind've been hesitant early this spring about them. The last time we put her on a descent size gilt. Ran it into the corner a cloud of dust, white teeth a gashing from both contestants a lot of ruckus. The hog was caught in about 25 or 30 seconds she was tuff, it was textbook, one slight little cut under her chin. The same day early she raised holy hell with the Garbage man who is a jerk with dogs. She put him into a corner before I could get over there. Thank god did not bite. However she would not listen to me very well did not want to let up on him. Was a great bark and hold if one doesn't mind seeing a Bulldog being what I would call a protective piss off defensive type mood. I wonder if he did not say something to her or something. This all happen about 6 weeks ago, ever since this happen she carries herself a little bit different. She is also watched a lot closer also. We never seen her in this drive before, were our commands were going in one ear and out the other had to be restrain and pulled away. That is somewhat alright with me less on building confidence and more on control.

See you later
Curtis
